Astrologia Previsionale - Astrologia oraria, elettiva, classica e Magia Astrologica

INTRODUCTION
This book brings together three long essays on Stellar Astrology, dealing with different yet closely related subjects.
The first essay, entitled Beyond the Theban Calendar, proposes a new technique — astronomical and rigorous — for assigning “permanent” influences and symbols to the zodiacal degrees and to the corresponding days of the year.
The method used to create the images of the Theban Calendar, being based on the heliacal rising of the stars, has the disadvantage of changing both over time and according to the latitude of the observer. The method proposed here, by contrast, is based on a very simple principle: on every day of the year, the Sun has a declination equal or opposite to the minimum or maximum declination reached by certain stars in the past. Some stars may even currently be at their extreme declination.
Since the minimum and maximum declination of a star remains effective for as long as 26,000 years, these stellar associations are, for all practical purposes, permanent. In interpretation, it is also possible, in a secondary way, to consider the current declination of the stars, as we shall see. But associations based on extreme declinations are far more radical. Therefore, if one wished, for example, to create magical-symbolic images for each day of the year, it would be these associations that should be taken into account.
We shall also propose various examples involving individual nativities, event charts, and charts of successful enterprises, in order to verify how and to what extent these influences have contributed to the overall alchemy of the chart.
In the essay The Dawn of the Stars, we shall see how the heliacal phases of the brightest stars are connected with the birth and decline of the great civilizations of humanity. In relation to the birth of civilizations, we shall refer above all to the heliacal rising of one or more bright stars at the Equinoxes or Solstices. The strongest effects occur when the heliacal rising falls exactly on the day of an Equinox or Solstice.
Here too, any “permanent” bonds between the star and the place are of great importance. The effects of these equinoctial or solstitial phases are much more powerful if the star may be considered “local” on the basis of its extreme or current declinations.
These are essentially boundary stars, zenith or nadir stars, stars that rise or culminate at a magical azimuth or magical altitude in the place in question, and those that in previous books we have called “local polar” stars. These are concepts we return to in practically every new book, and therefore cannot repeat in full each time. On this point, I refer the reader to the volumes of The Stellar Matrix.
When a star comes to perform one of its heliacal phases exactly on the day of an Equinox or Solstice, it may bring to full completion some of the potentials connected with its long-term bonds with that place. This applies to the birth of new civilizations or religions, but also to other highly significant events or changes that may occur there.
For example, in The Star of the Magi, we saw that in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus, Castor, Pollux, Spica, and the stars in the horns of Aries — Hamal and Sheratan — performed these solstitial or equinoctial phases. These are all the principal stellar significators of Jesus.
Usually, the decline of civilizations is marked by the loss of any significant role at the Equinoxes or Solstices of the stars that had marked their birth, as we shall see in these examples. At other times, these “handover” moments occur together with the shift of the gamma point from one constellation to another, as happened with Sumerian civilization, which, as we shall see, began when the equinoctial point entered the constellation Taurus and ended when it left it.
All this is highly significant for students of Sacred Astronomy who wish to make magical-electional use of these exceptionally powerful stars in a given period and place.
In the third essay, entitled From Giza and Toward Giza, I have developed several additions to the techniques explained in the book Giza, the First True Meridian of the World. The main one consists in the fact that it is preferable to study not only the stars corresponding to the direction from Giza to the place we intend to examine, but also those corresponding to the reverse direction — that is, the stars that rise or set in that place in the direction of Giza.
This also applies more generally when we consider relationships between two places. If, for example, we wish to study the relationship between Rome and New York, we must consider not only the stars which, seen from Rome, set in the direction of New York, but also those which, seen from New York, rise in the direction of Rome.
Taken as a whole, these three essays add further important pieces to the research in Stellar Astrology on which I have been working diligently for years. It is a kind of new and wonderful branch of astrology, one that seems truly able to explain everything that ordinary astrology cannot explain. As the research progresses, it appears more and more like a kind of Divine Algorithm, revealing the extraordinary connections between every aspect of our earthly life and Heaven with its stars.
Enjoy the reading.
