THE ASTROLOGY OF THE GREAT STELLAR FRAMEWORK
The Celestial Matrices of Major Historical Events and Individual Destinies
INTRODUCTION
For millennia, astrology has observed the movement of the heavenly bodies along the ecliptic, measuring primarily their longitudes and interpreting the configurations they form through the signs of the zodiac. Yet there is another dimension of the heavens, no less real and perhaps even more universal: declination, the distance of a celestial body north or south of the Celestial Equator, toward the North or South Celestial Pole.
Whereas longitude describes the passage of celestial bodies along a band, declination reveals their position within the entire architecture of the celestial sphere. It brings the stars into direct relationship with the Equator, the Poles and certain intermediate values that appear to possess a particular geometric and symbolic power. The heavens no longer appear as a mere succession of constellations, but as an organism structured around axes, symmetries, intervals and equidistances.
The research presented in this book arises from this perspective.
Its principal subject is what I have termed the Great Declination Framework: a stellar configuration built around the values of 0°, 30°, 60° and 90°, in which some of the brightest and most symbolically important stars in the firmament reach their extreme declinations. These values articulate the entire celestial sphere with striking regularity:
+90° — North Celestial Pole +60° +30° 0° — Celestial Equator −30° −60° −90° — South Celestial Pole
The different levels lie 30°, or multiples of 30°, apart, giving rise to parallels, contra-parallels, equidistances, and symmetrical figures involving the three great poles of the sphere: the North Pole, the Equator, and the South Pole. Its structure recalls the Star of David or Seal of Solomon: two opposite yet complementary movements, one ascending and the other descending, meeting around the equatorial center.
The extraordinary nature of this scheme does not depend solely on its mathematical regularity. The Great Framework is formed by stars of exceptional brilliance and symbolic importance. They include Arcturus, whose maximum declination approaches +60°; Pollux, whose maximum is around +30°; Aldebaran, whose minimum is around −30°; and Sirius, whose minimum approaches −60°. The Equator and the Poles complete the structure, transforming it into a true supporting axis of the celestial sphere.
These positions must not be regarded merely as coordinates belonging to a particular epoch. When a star reaches its maximum or minimum declination, it arrives at a precessional station point in its extremely slow motion. That extreme declination therefore constitutes a kind of permanent imprint left by the star within the approximately 26,000-year precessional cycle.
The star will subsequently move away from that point, but the geometry formed there does not lose its astrological and symbolic efficacy. It may be reactivated centuries or millennia later, when other stars reach the same value and arrange themselves at significant angular distances. At various times, these relationships may in turn be activated by planets, heliacal phases, parans and other astrological configurations. The heavens thus preserve the memory of their previous forms and may reproduce them in ever-new combinations.
This is one of the fundamental theses of this book and of the entire system of Stellar Astrology that I have developed over the years: extreme declinations represent permanent celestial matrices, while current declinations and planetary configurations constitute their successive historical activations.
The Great Framework appears to have reached a particularly significant completion during the period extending from the birth of the Roman Empire to the advent of Christianity. Around the time of Jesus’s birth, Spica—the brightest star in Virgo—lay on the Celestial Equator, while Pollux, Aldebaran, Sirius and Arcturus occupied, or had previously occupied, the other fundamental levels of the structure through the extreme declinations they had attained.
These geometries were strengthened by the stars’ relationships with the solar cycle: Spica underwent certain phases with the Sun around the Equinoxes, while Castor and Pollux did the same around the Solstices. The great divisions of the solar year were thus interwoven with the fundamental values of declination, joining terrestrial cyclical time to the geometry of the celestial sphere.
From this perspective, the age of Jesus may be interpreted as a period in which the Great Framework assumed the function of a Stargate, a kind of symbolic opening between different levels of reality and consciousness. When the Equator, the Poles, bright stars, extreme declinations and solar phases converge within a single design, the heavens appear to create a threshold through which particular archetypal potentials may enter history with exceptional force.
Yet the Great Framework based on multiples of 30° is not the only architecture that can be identified. Alongside it emerges a second system built on intervals of 45°:
+90° North Celestial Pole +45°
0° Celestial Equator −45°
−90° South Celestial Pole
In this second figure, the distance between the Pole and the Equator is divided into two equal parts. The value of 45° therefore assumes a mediating function: it is the point lying exactly halfway between the equatorial center and each of the two Poles. Stars that reach their extreme declinations near +45° and −45° acquire a particular capacity to mediate between the center and the extremities of the sphere.
Some stars may therefore belong to one of the two systems, while others may act as bridges between them. The heavens reveal themselves as a network of overlapping geometric families capable of entering into resonance in turn.
Under particular circumstances, the two Frameworks may be activated simultaneously, producing an exceptional concentration of correspondences. It is precisely at moments when several geometric levels converge that some of the most profound religious, political, scientific and cultural transformations appear to take place.
The central thesis of this research is that these frameworks constitute some of the great matrices of mundane astrology. They describe not merely isolated events but the profound celestial conditions through which particular possibilities enter history. Revolutions, epidemics, scientific discoveries, the birth of new civilizations, and major religious transformations are accompanied by the reactivation of ancient stellar geometries.
Throughout this book we will examine widely differing cases: the age of Jesus, the Black Death, the French Revolution, the discoveries of Alexander Fleming, Galileo Galilei, and Albert Einstein, the poetic genius of Torquato Tasso, and the athletic genius of Jannik Sinner. The variety of examples is intended to show how the same geometric law may assume different meanings according to the nature of the stars and planets involved.
The Great Framework does not always produce the same effect. It constitutes a matrix of potentials. The concrete quality of its manifestation depends on the stars that reactivate it during a particular epoch, on their nature, on the celestial images to which they belong and on the planetary configurations that allow those energies to find expression.
Here the concepts of the Generating Constellation and the Manifesting Constellation become important. The former represents the celestial root of a person, work or event: the stellar place from which its Essence and certain fundamental qualities originate. The latter describes the form through which those qualities become visible and operative in the world.
The natal chart is therefore not regarded as a reality separate from the firmament. It is the temporal and terrestrial instrument through which stellar potentials may be received, combined, and manifested. The planets act as mediators and activators: they connect distant stars, rekindle relationships founded on extreme declinations, and actualize what exists as a permanent possibility within precessional geometry.
The method followed in these pages therefore proceeds by levels. First, we identify stars that have reached extreme declinations near the magic values. We then examine the relationships between their extreme and current positions. We determine whether these relationships are reactivated by parallels, contra-parallels, distances of 30°, 45°, 60°, 90° or 120°, or by other significant equidistances. Finally, we observe how planets, heliacal phases, parans and angularity have enabled the stellar matrix to manifest in a particular event or destiny.
This research demands rigor, but also the ability to think symbolically. Mathematical precision alone is not sufficient, just as a symbolic resemblance unsupported by a genuine astronomical correspondence is not sufficient. The power of interpretation arises from the meeting of these two levels: geometry must support the symbol, and the symbol must give intelligible content to the geometry.
The two great Frameworks therefore invite us to view the heavens differently. The stars are not isolated points, but parts of architectures that form, dissolve and return in new guises. Precession does not erase ancient configurations: it deposits them in the memory of the celestial sphere. Each new activation may bring them to the surface again, as though the heavens remembered their own figures and projected them once more into history.
What occurs on Earth may therefore be the temporal manifestation of far greater celestial geometries. Major collective turning points and exceptional destinies would arise from the meeting of a precessional matrix, a particular combination of stars and the planetary moment capable of opening its gate.
This book sets out to explore that gate.
Enjoy the book.
